Will smartphones communicate via satellite? – 5G NTN.
Samsung Electronics, one of the world's largest technology companies, based in Seoul, South Korea, is introducing 5G NTN modem technology. Non-terrestrial networks (NTN) technology uses not only terrestrial infrastructure but also satellites, drones, balloons and other devices placed in space or the atmosphere to transmit data. It can be used to provide Internet access in areas where traditional networks do not have coverage or are not fast enough. These include: polar areas, mountains, deserts or densely forested regions. Samsung plans to integrate this technology with Exynos modem solutions, accelerating the commercialization of 5G satellite communications. To ensure highly reliable NTN communication with satellites moving in low earth orbit (LEO), Samsung has developed and simulated NTN's 5G-based satellite technology using an Exynos 5300 modem. This can accurately predict the position of satellites and minimize frequency shifts caused by the Doppler effect. Based on this technology, Samsung's future Exynos modems will support two-way text messaging, as well as high-definition image and video sharing. With integrated satellite connectivity, Samsung's solutions will eliminate the need for a separate high-power wireless antenna chip in smartphones, providing mobile device manufacturers with much greater design flexibility.
TV/SAT coaxial cables in multi-family buildings.
Cables, like other products used in the construction industry, are subject to fire-resistance ratings. It is estimated that from 60% to 80% of all fire deaths are caused by poisoning, suffocation or inability to quickly evacuate the place of danger. It is required that the materials used for the furnishings of the building, including wires, cables and other elements associated with the electrical and telecommunications systems, work properly under normal conditions of the building use as well as under emergency conditions. One of the key parameters that determine the fire rating of a cable is its ability not to emit opaque, corrosive and toxic smoke. This is crucial for avoiding intoxication and effective evacuation in case of fire. With the introduction of the common European reaction to fire classes, designers and architects have at hand clear regulations regarding the use of the appropriate types of cables. Where greater safety in case of fire is required (high-rise residential buildings), it is recommended to use cables with LSZH (LS0H) sheath, i.e. the halogen-free insulation.
With the introduction of the European classes of reaction to fire, designers and architects have clear regulations regarding the use of the appropriate type of cables. In order to achieve a higher level of fire safety, cable manufacturers recommend the use of B2CA cables in special-purpose buildings which have to meet very high safety requirements (e.g. in hospitals, nurseries, high-rise buildings, office buildings, and nursing homes).

Automatic restart of Hikvision IP cameras.
Hikvision IP cameras have an automatic restart function (named as "auto maintenance" in the software). After logging into the camera, it is possible to set one day of the week along with a specific time when the camera will be automatically turned off and on. To use this function, after logging in to the camera, go to Configuration -> System -> Maintenance and select Auto Maintenance. You can use this option if, for some reason, there were communication problems between the DVR and the cameras in the system.Enable Hikvision automatic camera restart function
1 Gbit/s Wifi network with 10 Gbps backbone.
A company's backbone computer network should be as efficient as possible, as it is responsible for transferring large amounts of data between different branches of the company, often between different locations. This is crucial for the effective management of the company. The concept of implementing such a network is presented below. The example uses a PoE switch with 10 Gbps uplink ports and connected to copper ports of access points, which operate on 802.11ax (WiFi 6) supporting wireless transmission speeds of up to 574 Mbps in the 2.4 GHz band and 1201 Mbps in the 5 GHz band. The connection between them and the switch has a speed of 1 Gbps. For more advanced wireless devices, such as the EAP670 N25695, a switch with 2.5 Gbps PoE copper ports, such as the TL-SG3210XHP-M2 N30223, will be required.

Problem with OTDR measurement? - Check the connector.
OTD measurements are used whenever there is a need to provide complete information on the condition of an optical link. This includes the attenuation of the entire link and its individual components: connectors, splitters, splices and the fiber itself. The OTDR also provides information on reflectance values for reflective events (e.g. connectors, mechanical splices).Proper measurements depend not only on the OTDR configuration, but also on the cleanliness of the measuring connector. The OTDR connector as well as the connector of the run-up fiber put into it should be cleaned. Failure to do so may prevent correct measurements from being made.
The picture below shows the connector of a OTDR that was used incorrectly – the connector was not cleaned regularly or was cleaned in an unprofessional way. This has resulted in accumulation of dirt and pitting on the front of the connector. The result was an incorrect pulse at the output of the OTDR. The damaged connector caused a large reflection of the pulse already at the beginning of the fiber, followed by several secondary reflections. This is shown in the reflectogram below.
Installers performing such measurements should definitely get a tool for cleaning fiber optic connectors. The best, and the most universal solution here will be the use of so called "pens", for example NTT Nanoclean-E3 L59161. They can clean both device sockets (or e.g. ferrules of connectors plugged into adapters in switches) and plugs, after applying an appropriate tip.
The NETSET Lite U/UTP 5e twisted pair cable [305 m], Cu, 0.45 mm+ E1409_305 is, a twisted pair cable designed for simple indoor installation. The cable has an outer diameter reduced to 4.6 mm for much easier to placement in trays, conduits and pipes. The core insulation is made of specially selected plastic for easy connection of RJ-45 connectors. The twisted pair cable has a copper core with a diameter of 0.45 mm.
===RF attenuator 10 dB 5-2400 MHz with DC pass-through R50112 designed to reduce the signal level in a TV/SAT system in the 5-2400 MHz band. It is often useful in multiswitch systems and when using meters with too high signal level at the input causing device overdrive. The device ensures very stable attenuation level.
The ZW-NOTKtsdD/U-DQ(ZN)BH LSOH single-mode 8J (8 G.652D fibers) 2.0 kN L77008 universal fiber optic cable can be used for indoor and outdoor connections. The single-mode fibers are housed in a gel-filled central tube. The Gel filling the tube provides a protective layer for the fiber optics, cushioning the movement of the fibers when the cable moves and protecting the fibers from weathering. The glass fibers used in the cable structure are designed to protect the central tube with fiber optics from mechanical damage and rodents.

How to restrict access to CCTV devices working in a computer network? One of the easiest ways to restrict access to devices on a computer network is to filter IP and MAC addresses. This filtering allows you to restrict access to a selected device only to devices with a specific IP address or MAC physical address. This means that only those devices can connect to the specified device. As a result, an unauthorized individual using a device that is not on the "whitelist" will not be able to access the device, thus improving the security...>>>more
