Television broadcast over 5G network – bridging the DVB-I gap.
The DVB Organization and 5G Media Action Group (5G-MAG) have signed a cooperation agreement to commercially deploy television services based on 5G network technology. The 5G Media Action Group organization brings together the media and ICT industries to ensure collaboration on the market deployment of solutions within the global 5G ecosystem. As a result of the agreement signed between the two organizations, a Joint Task Force (JTF) has been formed that will embark on activities related to the combination of 5G systems and DVB solutions. Key to this is DVB-I technology, functioning as a universal service layer to facilitate collaboration between DVB broadcasters and 5G network operators. This is another milestone in the transition of the DVB standard to Internet-oriented solutions, where DVB-I services and DVB-DASH streaming are core technologies. Bearing in mind that 5G networks and its subsequent standards will grow strongly in the years to come, it seems clear that DVB's achievements in digital television can form the basis as a universal tool for media delivery.5G and DVB transmission is being extensively tested in several markets and contexts. The researchers are looking for configurations that make it possible to market the idea. Legal, business, technology and similar aspects are important.
Signal T2-MINI, DVB-T2/HEVC receiver dedicated for hotel systems.
Signal T2-MINI T2-MINI receiver receives free DVB-T2 digital terrestrial TV channels broadcast in HEVC (H.265/MPEG-H) and H.264/MPEG-4 video coding technology with Dolby E-AC-3 audio. This receiver is one of the best solutions allowing users of older TV sets equipped with DVB-T MPEG-4/H.264 headend to receive DVB-T2 HEVC (H.265/MPEG-H). Installation of Signal T2-MINI receivers will not cause any significant changes in the way the TVs are operated in the hotel room. The thoughtful design and software do not generate problems specific to the use of typical DVB-T2 receivers, which effectively discouraged hotel owners from using this solution. The greatest advantage of the Signal T2-MINI receiver is its compact size and power supply from the USB port of the TV set or any external USB power adapter. The device remains practically invisible for the user when plugged directly into the HDMI input of the TV set. The receiver is perfect for wall-mounted TVs and enables you to place the device in such a way that it fits between the TV and the wall or a bracket. The only thing to remember is to provide adequate ventilation to the device. Hidden behind the TV set the receiver receives control signals from the remote control via an infrared sensor placed on a short cable. For the device to work properly the infrared , sensor should be attached to the front panel of the TV. The included smart remote control allows to control the tuner and the TV set.

Cleaning of optical fiber connectors.
Attenuation is the main problem of signal transmission over long distances. For optical fibers, the attenuation may depend on various factors, such as splicing accuracy or exceeding the minimum fiber bending radius. It often happens, however, that despite the correct connection and wiring, the attenuation of the optical path is still too high. What is an often forgotten and neglected attenuation factor is dirt on the ferrule face of the fiber optic connector or adapters. It happens to be the main and only reason for signal transmission problems.
DIPOL offers two universal automatic cleaning devices of the renowned Japanese brand NTT. NANOCLEAN L59161 and L59162 tools make cleaning of the above components possible. The key advantage of this solution is the ability to clean pigtail connectors plugged into a front panel of a switchboard without having to remove them from the adapter. The connector is plugged in from the inside, and the cleaning device from the outside, to clean the pigtail ferrule face and the adapter sleeve at the same time. With an appropriate tip, NANOCLEAN can be used to clean ferrules in connectors outside adapters.
NTT automatic tools ensure high quality and efficiency. After about 750 cleaning cycles the cartridge should be replaced. The tools should be of interest to most fiber optic network installers - in particular those who are required to provide measurement reports after deploying fiber optic systems.
Monitoring of a single-family house based on Hikvision cameras of EasyIP Lite series.
The diagram below shows a single-family home monitoring system based on the IP Hikvision DS-2CD1043G0-I K17665 EasyIP Lite cameras with H.265 compression. The cameras are equipped with image sensors with a resolution of 4 MP and a fixed focal length ensuring a wide viewing angle of 100°. This model uses infrared LEDs in the EXIR 2.0 technology which allows for even illumination of the area at night. The DS-7604NI-K1 (B) K22044 DVR is used for recording events. The 6-port PoE switch N299781 has been used to establish communication between the devices and power the cameras. The NVR uses the WD Purple M89270 hard drive with a capacity of 2 TB. Support of H.265 compression by the DVR and cameras allows to store the recordings of 11 days at 25 fps. To access the system from the local and external network, the recorder has been connected to the TP-Link Archer C6 C6 router. Locally, the images will be displayed on Hikvision DS-D5022QE-E M2922 monitor. With to the support of the Hik-Connect cloud by Hikvision devices, access from an external network is extremely easy and does not require advanced knowledge of network issues.Using four 4 MP (2560 x 1440 px) cameras, 25 fps continuous recording, H.265 compression set and a profile selected for medium scene complexity, the recordings on the 2 TB hard drive will be kept for about 11 days.
WiFi authentication via Facebook.
With the Facebook Wi-Fi service, your customers can log on to your WiFi network with their Facebook account. In order to get free access to the network, customers need to check in at a given location (i.e., mark their presence at a given business on Facebook) so that it is visible to their friends. Each customer, upon logging in, is automatically redirected to that business' Facebook page.WiFi network login using Facebook WiFi service
With this service, customers do not have to ask for a password to access the network and the business gains some marketing benefits. In order to create a WiFi network with this functionality (authentication method) one should have access points compatible with Facebook WiFi service. In the case of DIPOL these are devices of TP-Link Omada SDN series.

The Hikvision DS-2CD2743G2-IZS (4 MP, 2.8-12 mm MZ, 0.005 lx, IR up to 40 m, WDR, H.265, Audio, AcuSense) K02817 ceiling-mounted IP camera is part of the EasyIP 2.0 Plus Series, which implements AcuSense technology based on the Deep Learning algorithm. Therefore, in case of motion detection events and VCA analysis (crossing a virtual line, detection of intrusion) there is a filter that allows you to classify objects of the human/vehicle type and filter out all other events that do not meet the criterion (rain, walking animals, moving trees, falling leaves, etc.). If the filter is not selected the events will be handled unclassified, as in the previous solutions.
