Mixed reality application.
Researchers from the University of Duisburg-Essen, the Zurich Federal Technical University and the AI development department at Porsche have demonstrated a prototype version of the TransforMR system that allows you to move into a world of mixed reality. It is a technique that combines virtual reality (VR, which transports the user into a different, computer-generated world) and augmented reality (AR, which superimposes additional visual elements onto the real world). TransforMR brings you into mixed reality using images displayed on mobile devices. Vehicles and people that are in the camera lens are detected and then replaced in real time by selected moving 3D computer models. What you get is an image with virtual objects behaving in a similar way to their real-life counterparts. All that is needed to operate is an image from an ordinary, and amazingly, single camera (no stereoscopy is required). Artificial intelligence algorithms detect which pixels belong to objects of interest. The selected object types can then be removed and replaced with a computer-generated object and a background that fills in the empty spaces. The system detects position by analyzing the 3D image – for example, in case of a person, it can detect the location of up to 18 moving links. This allows the model replacing the person to move in imitation of their movement. The most important calculations are done on a remote, cloud-based server. Despite that, the latency of the resulting image is relatively low, between 50 and 100 ms, and a relatively smooth image is generated – 7 fps for low quality or 15 fps for better quality.
The problem is the low resolution. Due to limited computing power, an image with a maximum resolution of 512 x 512 pixels can be analyzed. Increasing the computing power of the end devices and servers will allow the image quality to improve over time. Porsche intends to use the system to provide entertainment for passengers and drivers during traffic jams, among other things.

Halogen-free cables in low-current systems.
From July 1, 2017 in the EU, all installation cables in buildings are considered to be construction products subject to applicable regulations. The CPR Directive requires manufacturers to develop and make available the Declaration of Performance (DoP), as well as to mark products covered by the relevant CE mark. The EN50575 specifies the requirements for: performance in fire conditions, test and evaluation methods for power, control and telecommunications cables used in buildings with a specific fire resistance class. With the introduction of pan-European fire response classes, designers and architects have clear regulations specifying the rules for selecting cables. To achieve increased fire safety levels, the regulations recommend the use of B2CA cables in special buildings that must meet very tight safety requirements (e.g. in hospitals, nurseries, high-rise buildings, office buildings and nursing homes).DIPOL offers TRISET B2CA E1020_500 coaxial cable and twisted-pair cables: NETSET U/UTP cat. 6 E1615_500 and NETSET U/FTP E1617_500, as well as Prysmian IC-ROUND 02J7A2 L7002_1000 fiber optic cable meeting legally required non-flammability class standards. The cables have LSOH sheath (halogen-free insulation). In the event of a fire, the cable does not spread flame, smoke emission is very low and the released gases are not corrosive.
TRISET B2CA with the LSOH sheath has an inner cooper conductor with a diameter of 1.05 mm and triple shield (Al/PET/SY foil (first) bonded to the dielectric + 82% density braid + Al/PET foil (second) boded to the sheath)
Cooper solid wires diameter 0.55 mm. Wire insulation made of homogeneous, colored HDPE conductor diameter: 0.98 mm. Cable sheath made of LSZH material, OD 6.4 mm.

. The DS-2CD2087G2-L K03195 is an EasyIP 4.0 Series compact IP camera from Hikvision that combines two key technologies ColorVu and AcuSense. The AcuSense technology increases the effectiveness of the surveillance system by eliminating false and nuisance alarms through human/vehicle object filtering. With ColorVu technology, the camera can capture color images round the clock while retaining important identification details. The camera has an F1.0 aperture lens, which delivers 4 times more light to the sensor compared to a conventional camera with an F2.0 aperture lens. Combined with a large 1/1.2" sensor, it provides bright and colorful images in almost any conditions. It is also equipped with an LED white light illuminator which can switch on automatically in very dark scenes. Below an image from the camera recorded during the day and at night is shown.Energy-saving UPS.
CyberPower is a world-renowned brand offering environmentally friendly UPS systems. In response to rapidly rising energy prices, as well as increasing environmental awareness, the company has patented the energy-saving GreenPower UPS technology, which consists in eliminating the problem of energy loss (heating up of the device). This has been achieved by appropriately designing the electrical circuits of the power supply, so as to, during normal operation, eliminate the systems that cause energy losses, such as those for AVR voltage control or transformers. By so doing, the power consumption of the UPS's own circuits has been reduced by approximately 75%.CyberPower research has shown that in data centre facilities, UPSes consume around 18% of power during so-called normal conditions, which account for 88% of operating time. Thanks to GreeenPower technology, CyberPower UPSes consume minimal power while maintaining maximum safety for the connected equipment. Independent tests carried out by the SGS laboratory confirm a level of energy consumption that is up to five times lower than that of competing solutions.

Antennas for LTE – part 2: single band operation.
Before selecting an antenna, it is important to obtain information on the location of the nearest transmitters emitting signals in a particular standard. Such information is provided by customer service offices of mobile operators. It is also worth to verify the frequency of emission assigned to a particular service. The previous Weekly Review referred to antenna selection in the case of locations with base stations supporting several bands. When the base station supports only one band, e.g. LTE900 or LTE800, and is located at a significant distance from the receiving site, a band antenna should be used.
- When the transmitter is above 8km away, it is recommended to use ATK 20/800-980 MHz A7027 band antenna. It is the best band antenna in the DIPOL offer for 800-900 MHz networks. Note that modems are usually equipped with two antenna connectors, so it is necessary to buy two antennas (the distance on a mast between the antennas should be at least 37 cm).
20-element ATK 20/800-980 MHz GSM antenna A7027
- When the transmitter is located less than 8 km away, it is recommended to use a wideband antenna. This is a safer and future-proof solution that will make the user's system ready in case the operator launches new bands on the transmitter.

How to connect optical fibres in a cable duct?
Installing fibre optics outdoors is a simple task as long as the installer is equipped with the right equipment and accessories. The key to the durability of the connections and trouble-free use of the links is the use of suitable joint boxes to protect the connection point and branch connections.View of the L56036 joint box
When terminating or extending fibers in a cable junction box the ideal solution is to use the GPJ09-9401 36 L56036 joint box. It protects splices against adverse weather conditions and mechanical damage. The design of the joint box allows for its use in various applications. It is possible to create branches of optical lines and cover the place of cable repair. The joint box can protect 36 thermal splices (3 cassettes of 12 splices each).

Two single mode fibers (G.657A2 standard) are placed in a microtube. Aramid yarn used in the cable protects the central tube with optical fibers against mechanical damage and rodents. The outer sheath of the cable is made of LSZH material with reaction to fire class B2ca-s1a, d1, a1.
Hikvision DS-2CD2T43G2-2I K03714 compact IP camera belongs to the EasyIP 2.0 Plus series. It implements the AcuSense technology based on the Deep Learning algorithm. Therefore, in case of motion detection events and VCA analysis (crossing a virtual line, detection of intrusion) there is a filter that allows you to classify objects of the human/vehicle type and filter out all other events that do not meet the criterion (rain, walking animals, moving trees, falling leaves, etc.).
The LTE700 R49601 filter is used in TV/SAT systems. It is used to filter unwanted signals in the 700 MHz band (694 - 862 MHz frequencies) intended for data transmission services (LTE).
